YeaR Regulatory Promoter
The yeaR promoter is a part of the yeaR-yoaG operon which plays a role in nitrate and nitrite-responsive control in E. coli. PyeaR is repressed by the protein NsrR and, in the presence of said nitrates and nitrites, activated by the response regulator NarL. Since PyeaR is native to E. coli, it can be used alongside the two-component system NarX-NarL.
